Our History

Though originally purchased as a home to the original owner, Molly Lynch, she quickly built an extension to the original structure to house all of the travelers who came through Cambria. Named after her father, John Patrick Lynch, the J Patrick House became the first bed and breakfast in this small coastal town in 1984.

The house was built off of the original owner’s Irish heritage. Every room is named after an Irish county and a four-leaf clover was placed upon the front of the carriage house for good luck and safe travels to all who stayed. To this day it is still mounted so that all who come and go are able to see it.

The J Patrick House & Inn has had a few different owners over the years that have put in a lot of hard work to maintain such a lovely inn. Amongst the owners, have been so many amazing guests. Some have even written about their adventures in the journals located in our rooms.

Our welcoming inn has seven unique rooms from which to choose. Each room has either one queen or one king bed. All rooms have their own attached bathrooms, fireplaces and window seats. It’s tough to choose just one! We also rent out the entire Inn to large parties. Contact us for more information.

Our property has two buildings. The front building hosts our breakfast room, professional kitchen and office. Our beautifully furnished rooms are in the back building along with a common room with comfortable seating and amenities including a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee service. Our guests also have access to the pool and hot tub at our neighboring property, Cambria Pines Lodge. Feel free to ask for a key when you check-in and walk, or drive over to enjoy!
